Consistency & Tenacity

Consistency & Tenacity!!!
I have been enrolled at Kaplan University for almost two years now and I love it! The professors are great and really care about the needs and performance of their students. I find online education wonderful and accommodating to my very hectic schedule. When I decided to return to school; I was determined to finish and get my Associate Degree in Medical Office Management.
I am so close to accomplishing this goal that I can taste it! Attending Kaplan has caused me to be committed to achieving my short term goals, which will lead me to accomplishing my long term goal. However, it has not been an easy journey! I have had many challenges come my way while on my path to getting my degree. Even now, I am working full time, running my own home based business and raising three beautiful teenagers (pray for me), all while going to school full time. This is a challenge because I have to keep my motivation & work ethic consistent every week to stay on task. Most times this is not easy to do! But, overall I am getting it done and for that I am confident and excited because each day I am closer to achieving my dreams!
We all must reach down deep and figure out what will truly motivate us to put 110% effort in doing what it takes to accomplish our goals and dreams. With soul searching and decision making and tenacity to see it through, in time our dreams will materialize. However, often times distractions and road bumps appear that cause us to be stagnant on the side of the road of life waiting for roadside assistance to fix the flat. If we could just realize that we have all the tools we need to keep moving within us, we would get out of the vehicle and fix the flat yourself. Because a determined individual with a burning desire fueling that vehicle of success, will not allow nothing or no one to deflate their motivation to succeed!

PLAGARISM

PLAGARISM
I always have been very creative and had the desire to express my thoughts and ideas. I also enjoy hearing other’s thoughts and ideas because we are all so unique and special. I find it disheartening when someone steals another person’s idea and claim it as their own. This reduces the value of the originality and credibility of the person who did not cite the true owner of the idea, quote, music etc.

I write articles, lyrics, poetry and have been working on my first book now for a few years. As a writer we always want to share our works of art but at the same time always have to protect our work through copywriter to prevent another from stealing it and claiming it as their own. Plagiarism is not acceptable and is one of the down sides to creativity. However, any piece of work that originated from an artist’s thoughts and ideas and then is manifested into full expression is worth the risk!

UNIT 3

I truly enjoy being an online student. I like the flexibility to being able to still work full-time and complete my school work during the times that are conducive to my schedule. I enjoy the technology that helps me learn my course materials. The technology gives me the confidence that I am grasping the material and do not feel the need to have to sit in a live classroom to learn. The live online classroom seminars give me the interaction with my professors and students to socialize during learning. However, I feel that the deadlines to complete work assignments have become too stringent because of weekly time constraints and busy schedules can put pressure on a student. Overall, online learning is a great way to complete your college education and to achieve your goals.
